UK 800m Champion

Although born in Plymouth, Cornwall is Jemma's home where she runs for the Newquay/Par Club.

Jemma achieved several levels as a gymnast and is a former County swimmer, but her achievements on the track are outstanding having improved year on year despite missing all of her first senior year to a foot and hamstring injury.

Jemma won gold at the 2002 Commonwealth Youth Games, and was fourth at the World Junior event that year. She took European Junior bronze in 2003, and silver at the 2005 European Under-23 Championships. She was also a Commonwealth Games finalist, a senior European and World semi-finalist, and missed an Olympic semi-final place by five hundredths of a second - all before her 25th birthday.

Currently, Jemma is training in the US but highlights of 2010 include winning the Aviva European Trials and World Ranking 2nd in the 1000m.
